From the recording Songs from "Star Trek: Live On Stage"
This is a previously unreleased track. It is a ridiculously loud, overblown, bombastic dang thing and it has grown on me. It was written for our parody of "The Wrath of Khan" and is performed by our own David Lee as Captain Kirk and Bruce Robinson as Khan. This track is as over-the-top as the show was. Great fun... ENJOY!
Lyrics
Perdition's flames lick my boots
And hatred fuels my pursuit
So near my vengeance, I taste it
Cold and sweet on my lips
Cold and sweet on my lips
I was a god among men
Left on a rock by the worst of them
Escaped from exile, I'm free
With all my loathing I stab at thee
I STAB AT THEE!
We found you frozen and lost
We brought you in to defrost
You took our trust and you broke it
So we were forced to revoke it
We offered peace and you stole it
My crew had nothing to fear
You put that bug in their ear
We don't quote Melville 'round here
That's just a little too queer
I swear I'll dance on your grave!
Now that's no way to behave
You task me, and I hate being tasked
If you ask me I'd say "YOU'RE AN ASS"!
The smell of death is approaching
The taste of steel, freshly whet
When the cold of space doles out justice
Only the guilty regret
So it's a fight to the finish
A duel of wits to the death
So near my vengeance, I taste it
Cold and sweet on my lips
Cold and sweet on my lips
